Please plan to attend one of our meetings and learn more about the DAR and our chapter.

We currently have 50+ members ranging in age from 27 to 95, and residing in Newport News, Hampton, Yorktown, Poquoson, Williamsburg, and Carrollton.

We meet the second Wednesday of each month at noon from October through May. We attempt to provide one evening and one Saturday meeting a year to accomdate working members. Our chapter registrar will assist you in the application process.

The DAR is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization. Founded in 1890, the DAR is dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through education. DAR has over 165,000 members in over 3,000 chapters in the United States and abroad. Any woman who descends from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership.
